ABOUT THE ARTIST
Yana is a Germany-based artist whose work explores layered abstraction as a way to engage with the fluid nature of perception.
Known for luminous, multidimensional surfaces, Yana gained early recognition through layered spray-painted works. Although since then her practice has expanded across mediums, it remains grounded in the tension between structure and spontaneity.
Her journey to art was not linear. For years, she built a career in tech - a path taken out of necessity rather than passion. It wasn’t until several life-changing events that altered her perspective and led her back to the artistic practice.
Today, each piece she creates is layered with personal resonance and quiet complexity - shaped by structure, but driven by intuition. Her work has been acquired by collectors across Europe and Asia, with pieces held in the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Singapore, and South Korea.

Process
I arrange and combine colors in a three-dimensional, overlapping manner - without using any color-shifting or metallic materials - creating works that are rich in color and movement.
Technique
The layers of texture and color form a luminous, multi-dimensional effect that draws you in, almost as if light itself is sculpting the layers, revealing new depth with every angle.
Inspiration and Purpose
Layering reflects the soul’s complexity, tracing the accumulation of experience and emotion. My work gives form to this depth, revealing the quiet evolution within.
